Housing Progression Pathway

As of 2024, we’re introducing our Housing Progression Pathway.

This 3-year apprenticeship enables you to gain a professional qualification and develop your skills and knowledge while you work. To view our Housing Progression Pathway framework, click here.

With an initial focus on recruiting for roles within our Neighbourhoods, Tenancy Enforcement, Leasehold Management & Income teams in 2024, we aim to create a community of ambitious and driven young people who become professionals and advocates for the housing sector.

Meet Daisy, one of our apprentices from 2020, and learn about her experience and progression story at VIVID.

Why did you want to join our apprenticeship scheme?

When I left school at 16, I knew I wanted to get straight out into the working world. I was a quick learner but hours of studying and classrooms just didn’t sound enjoyable to me. This is why I opted for an Apprenticeship. VIVID’s apprenticeship scheme stood out, as they are invested in their employees, which was great for me just starting out in my career.

What was your experience as a VIVID apprentice?

My experience as a VIVID apprentice was great. My department, and even the wider business, made me feel part of the team straight away. Everybody at VIVID was always so welcoming and more than happy to help with all my questions. I was involved in all different kinds of work, allowing me to learn quickly and also have the knowledge to complete my coursework easily.

How do you feel it has grown you professionally?

As an apprentice, you are introduced to many different professionals straight away. As someone starting off in their career, this was an amazing opportunity for me to shape who I was as an individual in the business world. I was able to see how different people would operate and handle challenges on a day-to-day basis, allowing me to adopt and adapt these ways of working to my own style. In terms of my journey on a personal level, I was a very quiet and shy person when joining VIVID. Being opened up to the different working environments and people helped massively with my self-confidence. I found something I was good at, gained my confidence, and became a professional myself.

Would you recommend the scheme to others?

I would definitely recommend the scheme to others, either starting out in their careers or wanting to switch up from their current profession. VIVID really looked after me as an apprentice and invested in my career growth, even after my apprenticeship had ended.  I had all the help I needed along the way and have met some amazing colleagues too.
