Mark: I’m Mark Perry, I’m the Chief Executive of VIVID. [Text appears on-screen:] “Mark Perry, Chief Executive”. Mark is sat in one of our VIVID offices, speaking to an interviewer who is off screen.
Mark: Our vision, ‘more homes, bright futures’, I think ‘more homes’ sort of speaks for itself. We believe that there is a national housing shortage, and we believe we should be building more homes, and we're trying to do a bit in that space. [Text appears on-screen:] “More Homes, bright futures”. Montage of short scenes of VIVID staff and customers. Montage of VIVID properties.
Mark: ‘Bright futures’ is about supporting people when their life takes a turn they weren't expecting. When they lose their job, their benefits dry up, those sorts of things. We think we have a role to play in helping people get through that process and back onto the sort of springboard into the rest of their lives. Short scene of a VIVID staff member and customer talking.
Mark: So the vision is important to us, it's a sense of direction really. But what underpins the vision are three values. Mark is sat in one of our VIVID offices, speaking to an interviewer who is off screen.
Mark: The three values are: deliver a great customer experience, encourage challenge and change and work as one team. [Text appears on-screen:] “Deliver a great customer experience, Encourage challenge and change, Work as one team”.
Mark: Those values are really important because they are indicators in terms of how we behave, what we believe in I suppose. So those are a really deep rooted, and you can't really make effective decisions if you're not aware of what those values are and how they sort of point to the way you should behave. Montage of short scenes of VIVID staff in one of our offices. [Text appears on-screen:] “Indicators in terms of how we behave”.
Mark: So when you combine our vision and our values and our social purpose, that's what drives people in this organisation to do good things, to make a social impact, to finish the end of the day's work thinking, actually ‘I’ve made a difference to people's lives’ and that I think makes us a really special organisation to work for. That’s why the values are so important. Montage of short scenes of VIVID staff at one of our offices and on-site. [Text appears on-screen:] “I’ve made a difference to people's lives”.
