Partner spotlight: The YOU Trust

Through our charitable arm, VIVID Plus, we’re supporting a series of community buildings to return to a hub for community initiatives. One such organisation is The YOU Trust, which has been working from our renovated St Mary’s Community Room since last year.  

The YOU Trust is an independent charity that empowers people to thrive in their community. The organisation provides care and support for individuals living with a learning disability or enduring ill mental health; they help those experiencing domestic abuse, sexual violence or stalking offering a range of individual and group sessions including workshops and retreats. The YOU Trust also works with young people on matters challenging their lives and provide advice, prevention services, social prescribing, and counselling to empower them to thrive to all ages.  

From St Mary’s, The YOU Trust runs their personalised care team which works with local GP practices to provide care coordinating, health and wellbeing coaching and social prescribing.

Karen Hobbs, Community Services and Business Development Manager for The YOU Trust, said “Access to St Mary’s continues to be life changing for our team. With this additional space, we’ve been able to see more clients, and have a larger team working together to deliver a great service. We’re very thankful to VIVID for providing this beautiful space, which is loved by both our staff and clients.”

Sarah Smith, Place Shaping Manager, added “It is hugely rewarding to see all the amazing work YouTrust is doing from St Mary’s. We want to bring community centres back into use through social enterprise and are already providing homes for a variety of different organisations”.
