One Small Thing are participating in this year’s Big Give Christmas Challenge, where for one week any donations made by supporters to participating charities will be doubled. This really is a fantastic initiative and is the UK’s biggest match-funded campaign. With one donation it can have twice the impact and, in this instance, go towards making a difference to One Small Thing and the Hope Street project.
Being able to support One Small Thing and their focus to deliver specialist programmes for justice involved women who've experienced trauma, fits with VIVID’s vision of more homes and bright futures. Knowing that donations made from 29 Nov - 6 Dec will be doubled, enables more support to be provided to rebuild their lives.
Derek Streek, Head of Communities, Standards and Partnerships commented, “We are glad to be able to support One Small Thing and see the Hope Street project become a reality and that part of our donation has been doubled through the Big Give Christmas Challenge”.
Jane Smith, Community Director from Hope Street commented, “We really appreciate the support we have received from Vivid Plus, which has already contributed towards us being able to open our first supported house for women. This funding will help us provide the education and training programmes for women at Hope Street that will support them to develop their skills and confidence and help them and their families have a better future.”
